It is the mission of the Lakes Area Charter School to provide quality education for the youth of the community for the purpose of accomplishing personal growth and academic excellence. The three components of the curriculum include: state mandated academics, individualized instruction, and technology with emphasis on individual student needs. The Lakes Area Charter School program was designed to meet the needs of students who are not successful in the traditional setting. While in high school and during the transition from high school to post secondary or the worlds of work, the academic needs of students are considered high priority in implementing this curriculum. With consultation from our sponsor, which is Alexandria Technical College, our program is designed to include:
