| Student Council | |||||
| The Lakes Area Charter School Student Council is made up of students that represent the student body. They plan fundraisers and activities. These activities have included: a Halloween party, home-made Thanksgiving dinner, field trips to the Renaissance Festival, the Guthrie Theatre, and as well as organizing a benefit dinner and silent auction. They also monitor the suggestion box which allows all LACS Students the opportunity to offer ideas for improvement and change. The student council members' goal is to keep all those involved with the Lakes Area Charter School as one big happy family. | |||||

| Prom | |||||
The Lakes Area Charter School holds its prom each spring. All students are invited to attend, because at LACS, no one is excluded. LACS covers the cost of the prom ticket who is doing well at school. At our prom, the goal is a fun and memorable evening for all our students. A variety of activities are available throughout the night, and formal attire is optional. The volunteer prom committee is responsible for all aspects of the prom including planning, fundraising, and decorating. |

We are looking forward to the 2006-07 colorful and creative pages the student staff has assembled. This year Jostens's will be publishing our 48 page yearbook preserving the past in vivid color to re-visit for many years to come. |

| School Store | |||||
| Our school store here at the Lakes Area Charter School raises money for the student fund. Our student activity fund is used to purchase new school supplies, pay for field trips and student activities such as prom. The store sells many items including sandwiches, chips, juice, flavored water, soda, candy, cookies, and soup cups. No item in the school store is over one dollar. |  |
